Summary:
By accident Buffy meets her mother's new boyfriend, Ted. But while Ted seems to have charmed her mother and her friends, he starts controlling Buffy's life and shows his darker side to her. Buffy starts to suspect that Ted isn't what he claims to be.

(Buffy is beating up a vampire) Giles: Buffy? I-I believe he's, he's, um... It, it's, it's staking time, really. Don't you think? (sit down to wait till Buffy finally stakes the vampire)
Buffy: Vampires are creeps.
Angel: Kiss me.
Buffy: He threatened me.
Xander: Can you say 'overreaction'?
Xander: Hey, Cordy! Nice outfit.

Willow: The sad part is the real Ted must've been a genius. There were
design features in that robot that pre-date...
Buffy: Any others?
Giles: Well, for their sakes, I certainly hope not.
Giles: Yes, that's why one slays them.
Buffy: Finally, something I wanna do.
Joyce: What?
Buffy: He threatened me. He said that he was gonna slap my face.
Joyce: He said no such thing! Honey, Ted told me what
happened. He caught you cheating, didn't he?
Buffy: Can you say 'sucking chest wound'?
Cordelia: Oh, very funny.
Xander: Not really.
Cordelia: What are you saying?
Xander: Nice outfit?
Cordelia: God! Is that all you ever think about? (considers for a moment)
